The “International Festival of Cauris Mandé” (FESCAURI) is a cultural festival organised by the Association for the Promotion of Culture and Arts of the Mande (APROCAM). The festival is otherwise known as the Cowrie Festival and has become a ‘landmark of Mande’s cultural panorama’. The festival is a platform to build global connections where artistic and cultural expressions are shared and appreciated.

The festival aspires to support social cohesion and socio-economic development of the local population through the creation of income-generating activities, to create temporary and permanent jobs.

Bassidi Koné and Bwazan performed at this year’s festival, alongside Bassékou Kouyate, Ami Diabaté, Mariam Koné and Group Mandé Sya.
